Las month the city and capital of Hawaii, Honolulu adopted a new policy that allows for pedestrians who are texting as they cross streets to be ticketed, much like a driving and texting ticket. Now Stamford, Connecticut is trying to become the second city within the United States to adopt a similar policy. The grand total fine may start at $30 per violation. Police and lawmakers say now people will “think twice” before texting as they cross an intersection.
