A New York birthday

Dakota Johnson marked her 37th birthday at a New York restaurant with Jennifer Lawrence, Page Six reported Monday.

Taylor Swift did not attend the dinner. She did join Johnson on Saturday Night Live the night before, crashing the opening monologue during Johnson's hosting gig.

The SNL cameo

Swift appeared in plaid beside Johnson on the Saturday broadcast. The cameo kept the birthday weekend on two stages: a live sketch show, then a private dinner.

No joint project was announced. The weekend was a public friendship, not a release date.
