What sparked your initial interest in your field, and how has your journey evolved into what you’re doing today?
My passion for diplomacy was sparked by a deep belief that our differences should be used to connect us rather than divide us. Growing up, I was inspired by my great-grandparents' journey to America in search of a better life, and I saw firsthand how cultural understanding develops stronger communities. This belief led me to establish America Connected, an international non-profit dedicated to teaching cultural diplomacy and bringing people and nations together. Over the years, my journey has evolved through writing, speaking, and creating interactive programs—such as my book CONNECTIPLOMACY: Using Our Differences to Connect and the Global Connect Trivia Game—to make diplomacy accessible and engaging. Today, I continue to champion global unity, helping individuals and communities build bridges that transcend borders.
What core values or principles guide your work and decision-making process, and how do they shape the culture of your organization?
At America Connected, our work is guided by the core values of diplomacy, inclusivity, and global understanding. We believe in the power of dialogue, respect for diverse perspectives, and the idea that our differences should be used to bring us together rather than divide us. These principles shape every initiative we undertake, from educational programs to international collaborations. By promoting open-mindedness and cultural exchange, we create an environment where people feel heard, valued, and empowered to build connections with each other. These values drive our mission and ensure that America Connected remains a platform for meaningful engagement and global unity.
Can you share a significant challenge you faced in your career and the lessons you learned from overcoming it?
One of the most significant challenges I faced in my career was launching America Connected and promoting the idea of diplomacy through cultural understanding at a time when divisions were deepening across the world. There were moments when skepticism and resistance made it difficult to gain traction, but I remained committed to my mission. Having been a gymnast, I understood the dedication and discipline required to accomplish challenging goals. I learned that persistence, adaptability, and staying true to core values are key to overcoming obstacles. By engaging in meaningful conversations, building strong partnerships, and demonstrating the impact of connection, I was able to turn challenges into opportunities. This experience reinforced my belief that even in the most difficult times, diplomacy and understanding can bridge divides and create lasting change.
What innovative practices or approaches have you implemented in your business that you believe set you apart from others in your industry?
At America Connected, we take a unique and innovative approach to diplomacy by making global connections accessible, engaging, and interactive. One of our standout initiatives is CONNECTIPLOMACY and using Our Differences to Connect, which redefines how people view diplomacy—not as a distant government function but as an everyday practice of bridging cultures. We have also trademarked the word CONNECTIPLOMACY®️, recognizing its significance in building meaningful global connections through diplomacy.
Additionally, we created the Global Connect Trivia Game, an interactive and educational tool that teaches cultural awareness and connection through engaging gameplay. Our College CONNECT program brings students together from around the world for open discussions on cultural differences and shared experiences. By integrating diplomacy with education, entertainment, and real-world conversations, we’ve built a fresh, impactful approach that sets us apart in the field of global engagement.
How do you envision your work contributing to the broader societal landscape in the coming years?
The world is at a pivotal moment, tested by leaders who reject democracy and seek to close off their nations from the global community. Their followers, overcome with change and misinformation, often fail to see the value of connection, diplomacy, and cultural exchange. My work with America Connected and through my book, CONNECTIPLOMACY: Using Our Differences to Connect, is dedicated to countering this isolationist trend by building understanding, dialogue, and unity among people and nations. In the coming years, I envision our work continuing to break down barriers, educating nations and people about the power of diplomacy, and inspiring a global movement toward cooperation rather than division. Through initiatives like the Global Connect Trivia Game and the international trips we organize, we cultivate respect, strengthen meaningful connections, and promote a deeper appreciation for diverse ways of life.
We aim to empower the next generation with the knowledge and tools to resist authoritarian influence and champion a world built on inclusivity, collaboration, and democracy.

To truly make a difference, you must stay informed, challenge the status quo, and embrace diverse perspectives.
Innovation and success come from collaboration, adaptability, and commitment to lifelong learning. Whether in diplomacy, business, or any field, those who remain open to different cultures, ideas, and viewpoints will be the ones who create meaningful change. I prioritize daily workouts, which keep me physically strong and mentally focused, and I make time each day for happiness and gratitude—whether that’s through reflection, meaningful conversations, or simply appreciating the small joys in life.
I also set clear boundaries between work and personal time, ensuring I stay energized and motivated. Delegation, time management, and surrounding myself with a supportive network allow me to stay productive without feeling overwhelmed.
