11-year-old boy kills grandmother before turning the gun on himself

An 11-year-old boy shot and killed his 65-year-old grandmother, who had legal custody of him, and then proceeded to turn the gun on himself for a suicide in Litchfield Park, Arizona. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff department, the grandmother had asked her grandson to clean his room earlier this past Saturday because he hadn’t done it in a while.

Later in the day, while her and her husband were watching television, the boy sneaked behind her, shot her on the head with a handgun, and took off running. Her husband ran after him, but then later returned to his wife to get help. A few seconds later, he heard a gunshot, which authorities say, the boy had shot himself to death.
