The New York City's Department of Education Accidentally Sent Out the Social Security Numbers of over 400 Educators

According to WABC, the New York City's Department of Education send out an e-mail containing the names and Social Security numbers of over 400 employees.

The DOE has since apologized and agreed to enroll affected employees in an identity theft program, however, one employee interviewed by WACB said she had yet to receive a follow-up on the status of the promised Legal Shield protection for about a week now.
